In my undergraduate studies, I had broad academic interests, although I majored in accounting. I regularly read academic journals, both Chinese and international, to keep me abreast of the latest developments in accounting and other related fields. I devoted considerable time to learning such subjects as law and economics. My extensive knowledge provided me solid grounding as I narrowed down my research interest to professional ethics of accountants. In a country that has only an inchoate legal regime governing professional practice. Enforcing high ethical standards is both difficult and critical. But studies have been scant and haphazard so far. I am glad that I have made quite some contribution to the country’s discourse in this area.

My undergraduate studies were greatly enriched with a most rewarding internship program. As a CPA assistant working for the Accounting Firm affiliated to the university, I took part in the auditing of several major corporations. In the process, I learned not only to put my book knowledge in practice but also acquired first-hand knowledge of how Chinese accountants, operating under inadequate laws and regulations, handled difficult issues. Such knowledge has constituted an important part of the basis for my research on the ethical questions of Chinese accountants and auditors.

In my graduate studies, I have broadened my intellectual horizon and refined my accounting expertise. The courses I took related to both theories and methodologies of accounting and auditing. But the more significant part of my learning is to be found perhaps not in the courses but in the research projects that I have taken part in together with my professors. I have, for example, helped my professors in compiling and editing a major textbook for the continuing education program of the ALL-China Association of Certified Accountants. The book, Cases of Auditing, has just been published and is expected to substantiate the curriculum of the continuing education program.

In my Ph. D. studies, I wish to focus my studies and research on auditing, particularly in relation to audit risk, auditor’s decision-making, ethics of auditing. I am also interested in accounting theories. I heard of Penn State University while I was still an undergraduate student, and I know that its accounting program is marked by selectivity and excellence. I hope that, by studying in your program, I will be able to build on my academic record so far for a promising career as a teacher in China a few years down the road.

Born in _ to parents who valued education above everything else, I consistently excelled my classmates in primary and high school. My father, a senior engineer of a huge manufacturing company, would not accept any second best performance in my studies, and I never disappointed him. One way for me to stay the top student was to pursue a wide variety of interests that helped to keep me physically strong and intellectually sharp. An acclaimed football player, I led my high school’s football team as its captain into winning the city’s football championship. I also enjoyed literature, music and traveling.

As the best student of my high school, I was well prepared in 1991 when I took the National University Entrance Examinations, held nationwide once every year to screen high school graduates for higher education. Of the 100,000 high school graduates who took the exams that year in my province, I ranked the fourth in overall scores. On the strength of these scores, I gained acceptance into the Finance & Accounting Department of the Beijing University, which President Clinton described as the Harvard of China on his recent trip to this country.

At the Beijing University, the country’s best institution of higher learning, I continued to be the best student of the class. The university’s business school, to which the Finance & Accounting Department belongs, emphasizes, English and computers. I did well in all of them. In the final exams, I got the full grade for calculus, and the highest grade in my class in statistics, liner algebra, microeconomics, finance, banking and econometrics. My average grade was 90 on the 1 to 100 scale, making me the undisputed academic leader among my fellow students.

I began to have significant academic publications while I was still an undergraduate student, something highly unusual in China. Taking advantage of the university’s well cultivated atmosphere of academic freedom, I undertook extensive research on top of my regular course load, which culminated in the publication of a book, titled “Out of Dilemma”. As the principal author of the book, I made sure that the book presented an insightful study of the Western business management methods, especially those proven effective in the experience of the Fortune 500 corporations. The book was unique at the time in that detailed case studies were presented on a number of well-known Chinese companies against the Western business management approaches introduced in the book.

I was also the only undergraduate in my department who published a research paper in an academic journal. In the “The investment risk and its measurement”, published in the January 1996issue of Chinese Technology and Economy Science, I presented a mathematical model I myself have developed on the measurement of market risks. Although the model has yet to be proven in empirical research, it has received positive review among Chinese economists. It should serve as an advanced starting point for me to conduct further studies and research.

With an impeccable academic record and virtually unprecedented publications, I received many awards and honors, including the Outstanding Student Honor in October 1992, the Guanghua Scholarship in 1994, and the Outstanding Student Honor in 1996. In recognition of my achievements, the Business School of the Beijing University offered in 1996 to accept me for graduate studies without the normally mandatory examinations, a privilege that is granted to only what the university considers the exceptionally gifted.

I, however, declined the offer by my alma mater. Instead, I joined the Chinese Da Chuan (Group) Company, one of the world’s biggest shipping companies, to work with its Planning & Financial Division at its headquarters in Beijing. I wanted to apply what I had learned both in class and outside of it to analysis of real business operations before I commenced my graduate studies.

That has since proved to be the right decision. Working with the Chinese Da Chuan Company, with its 117 branches around the world, gave me a vantage point from which I easily and regularly observe all sorts of financial activities, such as the capital flow, the investment, the making of accounting statements, the cost control, and the innovation in accounting computer systems. This has not only enriched my knowledge of finance and given me clear perception into the company itself but also provided me with the necessary empirical data for more advanced studies in general.

While with the Chinese Da Chuan Company, I saw first hand just how big the differences are between the accounting practices in China and those in the developed world. To summarize my observations, I published a paper titled “The Comparison between Foreign Accounting Information System and Domestic Accounting Information System” in the respected journal of Finance and Accounting for Communications. On the basis of these observations, I began to appreciate China’s critical need to learn the more sophisticated accounting practices from the West. In accounting as in so many other areas, China must bridge the gap with the West if it is to survive and develop in the develop in the ever shrinking global village.

Two years has passed since I first started at the Chinese Da Chuan Company, and I now feel that it is essential that I receive further and more advanced training in a quality Western university. Hence my application for acceptance into your university.

My four-year research experience since the completion of my undergraduate program in 1997 has helped me to develop from a Bachelor in Engineering to a Master in Science. My research activities cover a wide range of fields including analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, organic catalysis, environmental science, instrumental analysis, nano-analytical chemistry, and biological analytical chemistry. I am proud to say that I have accomplished achievements in almost every of those fields. Based on my research findings, I have published a dozen research papers. In particular, I have received patents from the Patent Office of China for two major research results “The Preparation Method of a Solid Acid Catalyst with High Selectivity and Activity for Esterification” and “A New Reaction Technology and the Equipment for Gas Phase Esterification”. Both of them have significant value in industrial application.

Nevertheless, I am acutely aware that, in the research fields I am interested in, there are still so many difficult subjects and challenges awaiting for solution. In physical chemistry, China is relatively backward in the fields of catalyst development, catalyst inactivation, reaction dynamics, reaction mechanism, geochemical reaction mechanism, environmental-chemical reaction mechanism. In analytical chemistry, China lags relatively behind its Western counterparts in areas such as instrumental analysis and theoretical analytical chemistry. 一、住房

3.tram

通俗讲就是国内的有轨电车，比较现代化，站点多，车次也相对多一些。如果是近距离出行，选择tram很方便。

4.出租车

Having a flair for Economics and accounting I have decided that I want a degree in Accounting and Finance or Management. The many brilliant representatives of the management community around the world have strengthened that resolve.

When I worked in my school as a tutor of English as a Second Language for students from a community school in Muscat, I realized the importance of a strong leader who could organize, command respect, and be able to work well with others. The last 4 months have been crucial in my learning of real world business and economics. For my IB Extended Essay, titled “To What Extent Does Subway in Oman Operate as an Oligopoly”, I set out to prove the oligpolistic structure of the fast food market in Oman. In this effort, I have come across many real life complexities in pricing behaviour, profit making and other aspects of the Theory of the Firm. While attempting to explain these alternate theories of firms I have developed a keen interest in analyzing and understanding how the world of business works.

After an undergraduate degree in accounting and finance or management I plan to go onto post graduate studies and work on an MBA. A strong performance in a BA will allow me to move onto an MBA and only then shall I be satisfied.

For the last four years I have been part of our schools volleyball team ICE. We have retained our ISAC (Inter Schools Activities Conference, Middle East) title for four years. Playing in the power hitters (spiker) position requires immense physical fitness and to accomplish that I regularly go to the gym for fitness training. I am also part of my school track and field team. Being the fastest sprinter in the school since 11th grade the 100m, 200m and 400m races are my specialty even though I still pursue long distance running. In my spare time I explore and master the computer as I am conversant with a Visual Basic Programming course. It is imperative for me to have the latest hardware and software and I make it a point to install everything myself. I also learn Urdu as it is my native tongue and a link to my culture, to maintain that is crucial.

Living in a diverse international community of over 52 nationalities has allowed to me recognize and appreciate different cultures. With the experience I have and the strong motivation to craft a bright future I feel I can justify my decision to pursue a career in Accounting and Finance or Management.

大四在读的本科学生申请加拿大的‘硕士课程，首先会获得有条件录取通知书。该通知会强调在你抵达学校注册时，必须出具完整且合格的四年本科成绩、中国本科毕业证书和学士学位证书的公证件或学校出具的中英文对照原件。

2、申请人的英语成绩——这是硕士申请的先决条件

同美国一样，优秀的TOEFL或IELTS成绩几乎是申请加拿大大学的一个先决条件。对于大部分大学来说，如果没有满足学校要求的英语成绩，想要拿到学校的录取通知书基本上是不可能的。此外，对攻读硕士研究生的申请人，除需通过TOEFL(现在的iBT)或IELTS外，加拿大的大学一般还要求其提供GRE(理工科)或GMAT(商科)，但这一要求因学校、专业而异。很多学校的理工科硕士课程，虽然在录取要求里面写着“建议有GRE成绩”，但是如果没有GRE的学生也是有可能被录取的，只是具备GRE的申请人，具有更大的竞争优势，会被优先考虑录取。

2.酒精：19岁以上个人物品中可以包括：1.5升葡萄酒，1.14升酒精或24听355毫升或8.5升的啤酒。

3.烟草：19岁以上个人可以携带200支香烟、50支雪茄、200克烟草制品。

4.宠物：携带任何动物至加拿大之前，均须与Canadian Food Inspection Agency Import Service Centre联系。

5.礼品：可以免税携带不超过300加元的礼品，逾额部分要支付关税。但是，酒精制品、烟草制品及广告品不能作为礼品申报。逾额部分也要支付关税。

6.现金：如果携带1万加元(或等值外币)以上现金或金融票据，不管是到达还是离开加拿大，都必须向CBSA申报，并解释清楚来源。否则如被查获，这些钱财可能会被没收，并且会有罚款。金融票据包括股票、债券、银行汇票、支票和旅行支票。

7.药品：带处方药入境，需要确认药品有明确的认证。药品必需带有原始的标签及使用说明，以及开药的处方。

三、入境程序

1、海关入境表——在飞机上填写， 全家填1份;

2、飞机降落前， 机组人员会报告地面天气和温度，准备好相应的衣服;

3、移民官面谈;

4、领取行李， 到有关航空公司行李传送带取下托运行李;

5、海关检查：携带所有托运行李和手提物品，向海关检查人员出示护照﹑移民签证﹑海关入境表， 接受检查。物品一般不作开箱检查，通常只做X射线和警犬检查， 以防范毒品，也可能只是问几个问题，什么都不检查;

6、如需要转机， 离开隔离区， 进入机场大厅后理前往多伦多(或其它地方)的登机手续， 并托运行李;

7、到达目的地， 出机场时如接机的亲友没到， 不要慌张， 耐心等待。装有证件和钱等贵重物品的包一定要随身携带。

四、入境后事项

1、枫叶卡：即永久居民卡，登陆当天在机场办理，免费，需要加拿大地址，6周左右寄到，今后返回加拿大需要该卡。4年内累计住满3年可以申请国籍。

2、SIN卡Social Insurance Number，社会保险卡，又称工卡。到就近的SIN卡办理地址尽快办理。4-6周寄到，免费。有此卡才可工作，申请牛奶金。

3、医保卡，又名健康卡，今后免费就医就凭此卡。在温哥华不用亲临办理。可以填好申请表，连同移民纸和护照首页复印件一起寄出办理。3-4个月可以办好，期间若需要，可以购买临时医疗保险。

4、银行借记卡及信用卡。各大银行几乎都有中文专员及服务。2-3周寄到，尽量多使用信用卡，既可以累计信用记录，又可以享受刷卡免息期及回馈。记得及时还款(可以绑定信用卡和借记卡)。

5、年度报税(资产申报)，每个纳税年度为12月31日，需要在4月底之前完成报税。

6、驾照：登陆后三个月内可以使用中国驾照。美国和国际驾照可在加拿大使用，但保险费较贵。可请原居住国汽车保险公司开出的无肇事记录证明，办理保险时会有优惠。满2年的中国驾照可免除笔试后(即交规考试，可以选中文考)的八个月等待期，立即考G2。

7、通讯：可根据话费预算签订手机计划，手机基本白送，但白送的机型取决于话费量。固定电话连同宽带和电视节目，可以根据自己的需求签订计划，同一家公司办理。

8、语言学习：新移民的语言学校分私立及公立，公立班级规模大，免费;私立要收费但是班级小，和老师的沟通更接近。另外可以办张图书卡，可以免费使用各个公立的图书馆。

Studying at sixth form has made me realise that my favourite parts of each subject are based on the processes and sustainability of the environment. For my Product Design coursework, I was redesigning manufactured goods to be ‘greener’; making a lamp that was 80% more efficient and could also be broken down to be recycled. I prevailed in the organic module of AS Chemistry in which I learnt about the use of fossil fuels and pollutants. And in Maths, I concluded that the statistics module was the most rewarding because it showed me how the subject is integrated into almost everything; I was using methods from my statistics class to help me with my Geography coursework, in which I surveyed a river environment and how humans influence it – I took pleasure in wading through a river and the great sense of fulfilment to draw a conclusion from information I had gathered and processed myself.

I feel that this course will satisfy my curiosity about the world around us, and hope it will lead me to a career that aims to find ways to use the world’s resources in a sustainable way.

I have not missed an opportunity to get involved with extra-curricular activities; as I was walking through school to head home after some particular activities, I was often greeted by teachers making statements such as, ‘Are you still here?’ but I kept coming back.

Being part of every girl’s team available, and captaining some select games, meant that I set aside a lot of time to the cause; but this was no chore, I love the social side of sports because everyone involved has so much enthusiasm, which they portray in such an energetic manner. I joined clubs out of school, representing the South Bucks hockey team in the Thames Valley games and playing in an under sixteen’s netball club let me meet many new people that I shared a common interest with. I am now part of the sports council, representing the sixth-form, we are currently working to encourage younger pupils to attend after school sports clubs and are organising a sports day for year seven. I also represent sixth form in the school council where we discuss how to make school a better environment for everybody; the latest proposal was to introduce paper recycling.

My school holds a summer awards evening every year for the lower school, I acquired awards for my work in various subjects and one for service, these made me feel like quite the specialist and encouraged me to put more effort in and lend a hand to others. I was made a prefect in year eleven and am now a senior student, I was very eager to help in the smooth running of the school to give back a little of what I have been given in extra-curricular time and resources. Last year I helped out in a year nine maths class once a week, I felt a sense of satisfaction when students were able to use concepts that I had explained to them. Also last year, when GCSEs were over, I started to teach myself guitar. Starting off, it took self-motivation to keep on learning as things got harder, and fingerprints started to wear off, but now I am part of a band and I know that it was undoubtedly worth the effort.

Although he was my age and wasn’t tied down by most traditional beliefs, he believed that only men could be true mathematicians. The majority of people in my country, South Korea, believe the gender stereotype that women are inherently inferior to men in mathematics. I strongly disagree with this outdated notion. Women are just as capable of outstanding mathematical achievement as men, and I am determined to help disprove gender stereotypes through my example.

Mathematics has always given me a deep sense of satisfaction. Even in elementary school, I was attracted to the precision and logic inherent in mathematical formulas. I devoured as much mathematical information as I could, collecting theorems of mathematicians such as Gauss and Euclid like other students collected stamps. I had the opportunity to test my skills and knowledge in high school, when I competed in several national math competitions, including the Korea Mathematical Olympiad. My strong showing in these venues, along with my top math grades and perfect math score on the Korean SAT, bolstered my confidence in my abilities. Despite my strong interest and achievement in mathematics, it has been difficult for me to realize my potential due to the Korean educational system, which emphasizes cramming for tests instead of critical understanding. 1、本科GPA成绩

I want to have my own agency in the future, and may be engaged in sourcing in the long run, because I like to understand the fashion trend forecast and the influence of street style on the runway.

I have the honor to work for Polo Ralph Lauren for nearly 3 years. I learned a lot about the high-end fashion retail business. I am engaged in sales, cashing, training new employees and visual marketing. This year I also worked as a summer temporary worker at Ozwald Boateng, where I learned more about high fashion collections because they made tailor-made high fashion. There I learned to change clothes, which I believe is very useful for me.

By working in the retail industry, I gained confidence, which is very important in our daily life. Organizational skills. I am also passionate about design; I have already made some clothes designs of my own and plan to do more. I also got a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in IT and Level 2 Diploma in Digital Applications, which is very helpful, because in the fashion industry, you must have computer knowledge and an excellent skill. In my spare time, I like to read books that challenge me as much as I can. I like cooking and entertaining my friends, because social life is also very important to me. I have a good personality, I am an easy-going person, and I am also very approachable. I go to the gym twice a week to stay healthy.

I am a very self-motivated person, and he strives to be the best person in every subject area. 爱尔兰留学高等教育优势一览

一、英语授课

在高校内，除了特定的语言专业的学习，其他的专业基本上都是采用英语来进行授课的，这样大家的学习不需要再额外多学一门语言，只需要同步提升自己的水平即可。

三、学制较短

需要学习的时间普遍会比国内的学习要短一年，因为在课程的设置上，会更重视专业度，将一些专业关联度不高的课程划为选修课，这样大家必修课数量会减少，学习时间自然就缩短了。

如果大家没有升学打算的话，本科可以修三年的普通学士学位，升学才需要读四年的荣誉学士，硕士专业的学习一般都是一年，少量研究型的硕士需要读两年，主要是为升学做打算。

学校开放申请的时间，基本上和欧洲大部分国家是一致的，在入学前一年的十月份开放，学生可以只有提交自己的申请，现在就是进行申请提交的时间，可以赶上第一轮的审核。

一、服饰

首先自然就是大家的衣服，这部分的准备要区分出日常和正式两种场合，学生参加的正式场合，一般准备好西服套装就可以了，记得带上合身和衬衫和领带，皮鞋也少不了。

日常则要随意得多，一般来说只需要被够两三套，而且不必带上实际的衣服，应季的进行准备即可，鞋子的话建议以舒适为主，毕竟一开始要先适应，运动鞋就是非常好的选择。

二、电器

银行卡的准备也是必要的，因为这样会更加方便大家收取家人打过来的生活费，而且刷卡同样可以享受优惠，其实也是很方便的，当然大家办了本地银行卡后，会更合适。

四、日用品

日常还有一些东西需要使用，有部分东西从国内带的成本会比自己买要划算一些，这样完全可以自己带过去，能够减少生活的不少麻烦，从而适应新生活会更快。

这里面就有自己的文具、参考书，还有常用的药品、眼镜等，这部分的准备，一定要以实用为主导;此外如果想尽快的拉近关系，还可以带一点特色小礼品送人。

I have always enjoyed studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and I would like the opportunity to continue this study. Chemical Engineering appeals to me because of the challenges involved in the application of scientific theory to practical, real world problems such as how to deal with nuclear waste. I particularly look forward to studying fluid dynamics as I was introduced to this during the Engineering Education Scheme (EES). I am aware that in today’s world chemical engineering has an increasingly important role across a wide range of industries from pharmaceuticals to petrochemicals. The broad range of career paths, and the opportunity to contribute to society through technological innovation, is for me, one of the main attractions of chemical engineering.

I have applied to take part in the Year In Industry scheme during which I hope to gain practical experience, as well as greater maturity enabling me to go into my degree course with improved skills and broader experience. I also hope to study e-learning courses on project management and presentation skills run by the IChemE. In Year 12 I took part in the EES, which improved my understanding and skills in team working, time management, and report writing, as well as visual and oral presentation. Throughout the course of the project the team had to frequently correspond with mentors in industry and academia and this experience has broadened my appreciation of practice and application in a real life situation. In July I attended a week-long ‘Into Engineering’ seminar run by REACT Engineering. Working in two teams, we were given a design exercise based upon a typical decommissioning project. I also attended a Headstart course at Newcastle University, which I thoroughly enjoyed. One of the main activities was to design, manufacture and test a small crane. I found both of these experiences very challenging, as we were given only limited time so we had to prioritise our tasks and carefully plan our work.This year a fellow student and I were awarded ￡500 by the European Scholarship Prize to fund a visit to Prague to do research for our A-level History coursework. I gained an understanding of the city’s culture and history and further developed my independence. During the summer I represented my school on a Connexions review of a government white paper on 14-19 education. I gained an insight into the government’s proposals and learned a lot about working with different groups of people. Last year I was part of the editorial team for the school magazine. I wrote a number of articles and I was responsible for ensuring that staff contributions were ready for the deadline. I also enjoy participating in a range of sports and have represented the school at football and cricket, which has further enhanced my team working skills.In my spare time I am working towards my Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. They for a very reasonable fee provide all applicants to unversities and colleges in the UK with a way to apply to up to 6 universities (or multiple courses at, say 3 universities). Part of the form (apart from all the obvious details such as name and address), is half a page where you are asked to write about yourself, your interests and so on. Inevitably you have to make it sound as good as possible, as you're trying to sell yourself to the universities you're applying to...I applied to the universities of Aston, Bath, Bristol, Cambridge, Imperial College London, and Loughborough. All for an MEng (Master of Engineering degree) in Chemical Engineering, except for Bristol where I went for an MEng in Computer Science, so this is tailored towards those courses. Anyway... Since beginning secondary school, I've been very interested in Chemistry and Computing. Besides my normal schoolwork I've read around these two subjects. Both of my parents are Science/Engineering graduates and they have taught me some of the qualities needed for a degree course in this field. I personally retreat to a caravan at the bottom of my garden where I find the creative stimulus required to write prizewinning poetry and biology essays alike

Whilst some people are terrified by, or worse, ambivalent towards modern poetry, I fail to remain unmoved after reading Jean 'Brita'Breeze' s “Moonwise” which epitomises the strength of emotion found within a short verse. The beautiful simplicity of the syntax found in such work inspires my creative writin; my poetry has won national competitions and been published in anthologies. Thus my daily diet of literature is a colourful juxtaposition of John Donne's solipsistic love poems, Tess Durbeyfield with her compassionate mentor Hardy and the infamous nobody Mr Pooter. A level English has not dictated but cultivated my critical opinions through analysis of such texts, and so I have been able to appreciate the subtly of fine writing, for example in Joyce's 'Dubliners'

The other subjects I am taking for A level support and complement my continual study of English. The methodology applied to research and evaluate critical arguments undertaken for A level history independent study are paralleled during my consultations with Bradly about Othello. A level biology demands the application of analysis with knowledge, and through my AS physics course I was selected to participate in the Engineering scheme, which enhances my ability to work in a team and to produce reports and presentations. Such attributes were firmly in place after my work experience at the publicity department of Bloomsbury publishing, and in my duties as elected Head Girl

The majority of my extra-curricular activities demonstrate the aptitude I have for English; I write articles for the school magazine, take acting coaching and was the lead role in an all-female production of William Golding's “Lord of the Flies.”I was awarded a sports scholarship for sixth form, play hockey for the school first XI and represent Somerset at the South West England hockey trials.
